October has been dedicated in NSW each year to mental health. It is a month of awareness that encourages us all to consider our mental health and wellbeing. With an ever increasing to-do list, devoting our precious time to getting centred often falls lower and lower down on the priority ladder. Well this year’s theme is ‘Value Your Mind’. It’s all about viewing our mental health and wellbeing as just as important as maintaining our physical and social health. It’s about bringing those ‘get centred‘ tasks back up that priority ladder and actively practicing self-care as a matter of high priority in our everyday life.
Here are some of our recommendations for getting centred:
- Get a massage
- Take a stroll in the park
- Read a book
- Have a warm bath
- Do some exercise
- Listen to music
