We finally spent a weekend away just the two of us.
Our business coach has been encouraging us to do it for a while now in order to reflect on our last financial year and create the next 12 months in all areas of our life.
We kept pushing back saying we were too busy and we could just do it in an afternoon at home, but he asked us to trust him and so we did.
We drove down to one of our favourite getaway spots – Back 2 Earth farm in Berry.
Our coach was right.
What a much needed rejuvenating weekend it was!
We kissed a donkey, fed the other animals (including miniature horses, alpacas, goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens and ducks), made a bonfire at night, explored the quaint little town, meditated, and took stock.
What did we achieve this year, what impact did we make, what didn’t work so well, what did we learn?
And what do we want to achieve in the next 12 months, how do we make a bigger impact, what direction do we want to take – in all areas of life: health, home, family, friends, and of course Centred Meditation.
It was so good to acknowledge:
where we have come, where we are at, and where we are going.
And at the same time connect back to ourselves, nature, and our purpose.
So much of our lives are spent on the go go go.
Physically rushing from place to place, mentally ruminating on everything we could have done better, emotionally worrying about what we still need to do and how it will turn out.
Whilst meditation provides us the space in our day to pause briefly…
it’s so important to take space out in the year to pause for longer to reflect, connect, and project.
Otherwise before we know it – our life has flashed before our eyes!
Our retreat participants always tell us that this is exactly why they love coming on our retreats.
So if you are looking for an opportunity to pause for longer then check out our Here and Now Retreat coming up in September (and let us know now if you’d like to reserve a spot with a deposit or full payment as we are going to book out)!
