Nourishing Bonds - A Two Day Seminar on Relationships

It is common in many relationships for there to be a significant amount of confusion around why problems and difficulties arise in their day-to-day communication and interactions with one another.

This is especially true in our close personal relationships. Often, people will perceive the other person as the cause of the difficulties; equally, many people get into a lot of self-blame and don’t understand why they themselves behave as they do. This confusion often brings up a lot of questions:

  • Why does this unpleasant or uncomfortable stuff keep on happening in our relationship?
  • Why does he or she keep doing what they do or saying what they say?
  • Why can’t he or she really hear what I’m saying?
  • Why can’t I stop doing and saying the things I do that affect our relationship badly?
  • What’s wrong with them?
  • What’s wrong with me?

The Nourishing Bonds Two Day Relationship Seminar is designed to answer these types of questions and in turn have a deep transformational impact on you and your closest relationships.

To achieve this, Walter and Shana Bellin, the workshop facilitators, will use powerful experiential learning processes that they have created and used over several decades. These include:

Techniques and practices that enable you to untangle and identify the ways in which you, and the ways in which the person you’re relating to, contribute to difficulties or problems in your relationships.

Methods and techniques for first owning your part, and then unlearning and mastering your input to these problems. (We can’t control what the other person does about this – only what we do.)

Techniques for communicating with integrity, honesty and authenticity – yet doing so without either passive or active aggression and confrontation!

Introducing and using a listening profile that measures yours (and other people’s) listening styles. This profile will:

  • Help you to understand how you listen (and don’t listen) and provide you with insight into how other people listen.
  • Greatly improve your ability to really hear what the other person is saying, unfiltered by your own mindset and listening style.
  • Provide you with much greater flexibility in the way you listen.

Undergo a special process that will allow you to access memories and suppressed or repressed emotions from experiences during your childhood or adolescence. This will enable you to free yourself from your habitual self-limiting patterns of relating and communicating to people in your life.

Undertake a process which will enable you to find and/or create the central purpose for your most important relationships. As you’ll see, this purpose defines the most important areas you must transform within yourself, if you are to realise the full potential for deeply, profoundly rich and fulfilling relationships.
