Our vision is to give urban professionals a greater sense of calm, clarity, and confidence. We offer 30 min guided meditation sessions on comfortable armchairs in a tranquil urban sanctuary in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Our Effortless Meditation style is super easy, really enjoyable, and highly effective. Our unique approach makes starting and maintaining a meditation practice accessible for busy professionals living fast-paced, high-pressure lives.

Our 14 Day Introductory Trial:

1. Unlimited Meditation

Meditate as many times as you like in our urban sanctuary right in the heart of the Sydney CBD with:

  • Comfortable armchairs to melt into;
  • Freshly brewed teas  and coconut water to sip on;
  • Natural surround sounds to immerse yourself in;
  • Expert facilitators with soothing voices to listen to.

2. Intro to Effortless Meditation Workshop

This complimentary workshop is designed to teach you how to meditate correctly and give you the ideal foundation for an effective meditation practice.
 
We cover:
  • WHY: The science of stress and the evidence behind effortless meditation.
  • HOW: Instruction on how to meditate correctly using our effortless style;
  • WHAT: Tips on how to establish a regular meditation practice.

3. Check-In Chat

During your trial, we personally call you for a 10-15min check-in where we ensure you:

Our Story

I was in my third year of my Psych undergraduate degree at University. My final exams were coming up and I was highly anxious. I had a tight chest, a tense back, digestive issues, and I couldn’t stop worrying about the future. Enter Effortless Meditation. Prior to learning, I had always thought it was too difficult for someone with such an active mind like myself. Yet to my surprise, I found it to be easy, enjoyable, and effective.

With a regular, daily practice of effortless meditation, a whole host of benefits began to emerge. I was less anxious, more resilient to stress, and my digestion improved. As a result, I was calmer, happier, and more centred in all aspects of my life. So I started to tell Kevin about it…

I was working a pretty intense job with long hours and heavy responsibility. On the outside I was thriving – I was in a great relationship, was successful in my role, and had a healthy social life – yet the inside painted a different picture. I had this constant tightness in my chest, violent nightmares, almost daily headaches, and recurring bouts of glandular fever. Nikki had been telling me about meditation for ages, but I always thought it would just hippy nonsense!

In hiding, I began to practice Effortless Meditation every day. I couldn’t believe what I discovered. Within three weeks, the anxiety was gone, the nightmares stopped, and my headaches dissipated. What’s more, I realised I wasn’t the only one. Turns out there are thousands of scientific research papers all giving rise to the powerful benefits of meditation on health and wellbeing. I should’ve listened to Nikki earlier!

A year later we quit our jobs and headed to the region where meditation originated: South Asia. It was a wild journey! From meditating in caves, to living in Ashrams, going on silent retreats, and having teachings with the Dalai Lama and other Gurus, Swamis and Rishis. At some point we realised that whilst all the spiritual knowledge and religious doctrine were fascinating and uber valuable – they simply weren’t required for the meditation itself to work. As modern scientific research dictates, meditation is a simple mental technique that when practiced regularly, has immense physical and psychological benefit to one’s health and wellbeing.

We mused how great it would be if more people like us could access the profound effects that meditation has to offer without the usual misconceptions and barriers that get in the way. Two years later, Centred Meditation was born in June 2015. Since our inception, we’ve hosted thousands of people in our urban sanctuary and are continually pleased by the quick and powerful effects that our Effortless Meditation style has in their lives.

  • review rating 5  Signing up for their two week into offer was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made so far - the place is so nice, with large comfy arm chairs, blankets, free tea, filter water and coconut water. Plus the guided meditation was amazing! I felt so much more relaxed and grounded afterwards as well.

A relaxed environment with good value meditation and Mindfullness sessions - The tutors are good and "on point" to deliver in sessions timed to be useful within the busy CBD area - public transport also stops close by - Highly recommended

  • review rating 5  I was reluctant to come here because I had tried doing guided meditations through YouTube but could never get into it. It was from a recommendation from a healthcare professional so I thought I would try it out given they have the good intro deal. I have been every day for the past 5 days during my lunch break and I’m a complete convert. It’s so easy and close to work and no fuss. The classes start on time and finish on time and you don’t have to talk to anyone if you don’t want to which means it is really minimal effort wise. I’ve found the teachers very calming and helpful and will definitely be back!

  • review rating 5  I can’t recommend the sessions and the team at Centred Meditation enough. I have tried various different meditations in person and online over the years but never found one that I stuck to. Centred Meditation works for me for a variety of reasons but the main ones being the simplicity of the sessions themselves so that anyone can learn to meditate, the caring nature of Nikki, Kevin and the rest of the team and the convenience of being able to walk in to a super comfortable and friendly studio in the middle of the CBD at convenient times throughout the day. The results I feel from the sessions are definitely noticeable and I find myself feeling calmer, happier and generally with less ‘brain fog’ on a daily basis

    review rating 5  Best decision I’ve made all year. I’ve been struggling with chronic back pain for over 2 years which has been physically and mentally challenging. I see a great physio and exercise physiologist but only ever made small improvements. Meditation on the other hand as genuinely changed my life. I’ve been coming to centred meditation for 2 months and in that time have made more progress than I have in the last 2 years. My anxiety around the pain has almost completely gone and I’m actually back running again. It has been amazing. I’ve tried meditation in the past but could never really get into it. I’m now loving it and I really like the teaching style. I highly recommend you do the 2 week trial and get as many sessions in as you can so you can really feel the benefits.

    review rating 5  I was a little wary of meditation. Having tried different iterations in the past and never being able to completely still my mind, which I thought was the point, I had given up. I stumbled across Centered Meditation and this approach has been amazing. I like that it doesn’t feel difficult, I don’t need to try really hard to stop thinking and it’s nice to set aside 30min that I know is purely for me. It’s helped me recharge and I walk out of class feeling light and calm, which is amazing after a busy day at work. I highly recommend this style of meditation, as it truly does feel effortless.

  • review rating 5  I've just recently discovered Centred Meditation and I'm so pleased that I did! I've been looking for some way to try to relax and bring calm into my day/life, I don't have time to do classes at night and I can't often spare an hour in my work day so these classes are perfect for me. After my half hour meditation session at lunchtime I feel more positive and calm facing the second half of the day and I feel it's definitely of huge benefit to me. I hope to continue going to the classes 3 times per week as I feel it will be even more beneficial the more I attend.
